Yahoo Pipes

Yahoo Pipes is a do-it-yourself “mashup” capability hosted by Yahoo for anybody to use. This means you can take any number of RSS news feeds, and edit and combine them into a single, customized feed. The result is more powerful than you might immediately think.

you can see people are combining blogs together, and at this date of writign, someone has already mashed up a custom search of eBay across certain price ranges.
The service is a little raw as yet, some people think it’s no big deal, we personally think it’s very large.
We think Yahoo definitely grabs a lot of creative user base with this, and as new refinements and customizer tools get added, Yahoo will be seen to have led the pack, with some maturing clusters of content. (Not that this says anything about the outcome of a contest between Yahoo and Google in this area.)
Tim O’Reilly, respected publisher of all those Web tech books, and person with ideas worth noting, thinks that Pipes is huge - “it has enormous promise in turning the web into a programmable environment for everyone”:
